[Bug]Map placement on fixed positions.
I tested this with a friend and map fixed positions is bugged. Let me set it up for you:
We used the 6 player map, I was spot 1, friend was spot 2, spots 3 and 4 were CPUs on my team spots 5 and 6 were CPUs on his team. The positioning of the map is like this: x4x5x6x xxxxxxx xxxxxxx x3x2x1x Rotate the map 45 degrees to the right and you have the placement. Now we checked it twice and each time this is where the player was placed depending on where the were in the game lobby list. The bug is this, when we went to play a game 2v2 on this map I closed spots 2 and 5 so that the middle spot on each side of the map should have been empty, makes for a more even split of the req spots. However when we got in the game that isn't what occured. Players should have been in spots 1, 3, 4, and 6, instead we were in spots 1, 2, 3 and 4. The spots I had closed were treated as if they were not even there. Everyone was moved up next to each other in the map spot list. This needs fixing because fixed spots should be just that, you end up in the spot you are in on the game listing, regardless of where the empty spots are, it works that way with HW and HW2, I don't play IC enough online to know if it is true there but regardless, please make sure a patch addresses this if it is not that way in the retail. Oh and random isn't any better, your just as likely to end up on the wrong side of the map. |

As an addendum, it would be nice if the host could actually place people in the spots they want to place them in as in HW2. Just a suggestion for the patch, this would mean it doesn't matter where you are in the join game list when playing.
