WOW!! at last a SM cover that doesn't rip off the RT rulebook (well, this isn't a last stand anyway).

The cover of the 3rd edition codex always pissed me off.

That they redid that classic Rogue Trader cover image in such a cheesy style was beyond lame.

If ya ask me, it kind looks like a chaos space marien cover just for the fact that its all scratchy on the edges, compare it to the original cover.

a bit small, but you get the point.

Actually I thought it looked a bit Choasy too. The Blue and Gold makes them look a lot more like Thousand Sons than Ultramarines.

I like how they have smallish heads now. I never really "got" the immensity and power of a Space Marine until I saw a certain picture which I can't find anymore. However, the effect was similar to this one, http://us.games-workshop.com/games/...nes/default.htm, though heightened because he was standing and looking slightly down at the viewer.

The small head forces you to acknowledge how big he is, especially in his armor.

Dante: anatomically

Yeah that's the one! It looked pretty impressive when it was posted on the GW site.

Can also be found in the 4th edition rulebook. Karl Kopinski is the artist and truly I can do nothing else but agree with Ferocious 100%. Really hoping that some day, they remake the table top marines after that.

Yeah, the old Space Marine Codex cover was a bit cheesy, considering the fact that all of those Marines were about to die, and even had several missiles heading right for them, but was cut off to make them seem far more heroic.
