Non-linear Gameplay Proof of Concept
This is a proof of concept of nonlinear gameplay.
It's called "NonLinear" and is a gametype. Place it in your "Bin\Gamerules" folder. To proceed to the next level, move your mothership to the flashing ping in the center of the map. You could try playing it in multiplayer, but it will probably only work once. If someone could find out what happens when a player drops/quits/is killed before proceeding to the next level, that would be great. Download: http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Qua...4/homeworld.htm |

From what I can tell of the code, it just reloads the same level? Just rewrites the persistant data - correct?
Too bad there's still not a way to select which level to go to next. But this definitely likes like a good proof for an alternative. |

The level loads different map data depending on which ping you enter. In this example, the game cycles between maps 1 and 2. |
